Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to conduct the survey in S.No.120/11 and 120/2A1A1A1A1A in Kayalpattanam Village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District, based on the application No.2025/0123/28/006676, dated 24.03.2025. For Petitioner :

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to conduct survey of the property situated in Survey No.120/11 and 120/2A1A1A1A1A, at Kayalpattanam Village, Tiruchendur Taluk, Thoothukudi District, by considering his application No.

2025/0123/28/006676, dated 24.03.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the subject property and patta for the same stands in his name in Patta No.5510 and 2385. He submitted an online application before the respondents in application No.2025/0123/28/006676, dated 24.03.2025, seeking survey of the property. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.

3. Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, would submit that the application submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

4. A perusal of the patta, produced by the petitioner, would indicate that more than 70 persons' names are mentioned as co-pattadars. Therefore, sufficient time shall be given to the respondents to survey the property.

5. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the online application of the petitioner, dated 24.03.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of six months from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner, co-pattadars, neighbouring land owners, and other interested parties.

6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. 07.07.2025 NCC :
