Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent, on instructions, would submit that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has now become infructuous, in view of the fact that subsequent to the filing of

this writ petition, the Government has decided not to appoint any person to the post of Manager (P&I) / Veterinary, as per the impugned selection order.

2. The grievance of the petitioner, in this writ petition, is that the selection list under the impugned selection order, dated 23.11.2018, is arbitrary and illegal. Since the official respondents have now decided not to appoint any person to the post of Manager (P&I) / Veterinary in terms of the impugned selection order, dated 23.11.2018, the relief sought for in this writ petition has now become infructuous.

3. After recording the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the third respondent, as stated supra, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
