This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent Police to file a Final Report in Crime No.287 of 2019, for the offences under Sections 120 B, 406 and 420 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 5, 7(1) and 7(3) of the Lotteries Regulation Act, 1998, on the file of the first respondent Police.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that even though the crime was registered on 29.03.2019, so far no investigation has been conducted by the respondent police. Hence, the present criminal original petition has been filed.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submitted that now the investigation is almost over and the first respondent police will file a final report within a period of two months.

4. Recording the above said submission, the first respondent police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.287 of 2019 and file a final report within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
