O R D E R

This writ petition is filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first and second respondents to take action against the respondents 3 to 11, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 17.09.2020. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 and 2. 3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner was called for an enquiry and she had stated before the respondent police that she would file a petition before the appropriate Court for the relief claimed by her and that she was not interested in pursuing the complaint.

4.However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was not informed about the closure of the complaint given by her. Since the complaint was closed only on the basis of the petitioner's statement, thee was no necessity to further inform the petitioner about the action taken. 2/4

5.However, in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that a formal letter intimating the closure of the complaint ought to have been sent to the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent police to inform the petitioner about the action taken on the complaint enclosing the copy of her letter to the respondent.
