ORDER

The present contempt petition has been filed alleging violation of the order of this Court in WP(MD).No.1312 of 2025 dated 20.01.2025 wherein this Court has directed the Transport Corporation to pay interest for belated disbursement of the terminal benefits.

2.The General Manager of the respondent Transport Corporation has filed an affidavit on 08.08.2025. Paragraph No.6 of the said affidavit is extracted as follows:

"6.........

The balance amount payable to the petitioner is only Rs.3,17,326/-. I undertake that the balance amount will be settled to the petitioner before January 2026. i.e.Rs.13,852/- in Sep.25, Rs.13,852/- in Oct.25, Rs.13,852/- in Nov.25, Rs.13,852/- in Dec.25 and Rs.13,853/- in Jan.26".

3.Recording the said affidavit, this contempt petition stands closed. The respondents are directed to strictly comply with the undertaking given by them in the affidavit. Otherwise this Court would be constrained to initiate suo moto contempt proceedings. No costs. 04.09.2025.
