J U D G M E N T

(Delivered by P.N.PRAKASH, J) This criminal appeal is filed against the judgment and order dated 18.07.2019 in S.C.No.382 of 2014 on the file of the Principal District and Sessions Court, Madurai.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the appellant stated that the appellant died on 01.03.2022, in support whereof, he submitted a copy of the death certificate.

3. It is seen that this Court had granted suspension of sentence and bail to the appellant, pursuant to which, the appellant was on bail in this case. No application for leave to continue the appeal has been filed by the near relatives of the appellant under the proviso to Section 394(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, though more than thirty days have lapsed after the death of the appellant.

4. Learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the near relatives of the deceased appellant are aware about the pendency of this appeal.
