Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to issue a fresh joint patta by changing the previous patta No.256 to the name of the petitioner as well in the name of his mother of R.Mercy Kothainayagi, his brother R.Sankar and his sister R.Ramalakshmi in respect of Survey No.6/4A, Plot No.26, Door No.24/7, Kathoon Nagar, 1st street, Nanjikottai Road, Pudupattinam Village, Joint-1 Sub-Registry, Thanjavur District by considering the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.11.2016.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.According to the petitioner, his father purchased the property in Survey No.6/4A in Pudupattinam Village, Thanjavur District and he is in possession and enjoyment of the same. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Subsequently, his father expired on 29.11.2006. Hence, he submitted an application, dated 02.11.2016, before the third respondent to issue a joint patta in favour of the petitioner and his family members. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

4.In the above circumstances, the third respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application, dated 02.11.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the other pattadhars, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
