For Petitioner : M/s.K.Abiya For R1 & R2 : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent Nos.1 and 2 police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner, who is aged about 63 years old, based on the representation dated 08.05.2023. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner is a senior citizen and was an ex-service man. The respondent No.3 is the daughter-in-law, who has been demanding the petitioner to part with the self acquired property of the petitioner, for which the petitioner is not inclined. Accordingly, the petitioner has filed a petition before the respondent Nos.1 and 2 police to provide protection from the respondent No.3. 3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submits that on receiving of the complaint from the petitioner dated 08.05.2023, the respondent Nos.1 and 2 police have initiated enquiry and issued notice to the respondent No.3, who appeared before the police and gave a statement that she will not interfere with 2/5

the petitioner and the same is recorded and subsequently, the representation of the petitioner is closed.

4.Since the respondent No.3 stated to have given a statement in writing that she will not interfere in the life and liberty of the petitioner, this Petition is hereby closed. In case if the petitioner files any complaint against the respondent No.3 about any offence being committed or attempted to be committed by the respondent No.3, the respondent Nos.1 and 2 police are directed to immediately provide protection to the petitioner and take suitable action against the respondent No.3.
