ORDER
The Writ Petition is filed challenging the impugned proceedings, dated 14.05.2026.
2. Upon hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Standing Counsel, it can be seen that the impugned proceedings are nothing but an enquiry notice that is issued to enquire about the objections presented by the second respondent, who is said to be the daughter-in-law of the petitioner. Therefore, the writ petition cannot be entertained. However, the only grievance is that the enquiry cannot be kept pending for a long time.
3. In view of the nature of the relief that is granted, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage, without notice to the second respondent. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the issue. 2/4
4. The first respondent shall complete the enquiry pursuant to the impugned notice dated 14.05.2026, as expeditiously as possible, in any event not later than two months from the date of receipt of a web copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 11.06.2026 sji NCC : Yes/No To The Sub Registrar, Joint No.IV Madurai South, Madurai District.
