This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to give promotion to the petitioner as Foreman from 15.08.2014, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 20.10.2016.

2. When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.10.2016, within the reasonable time as fixed by this Court.

3. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 20.10.2016 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
