PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C.,to direct the respondent police to file a final report in Crime No.6 of 2018 dated 09.06.2018 on the file of the respondent police within a time stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondent to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.6 of 2018 pending on the file of the respondent.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.6 of 2016 has been registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498(A), 406 IPC and Section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Dowry Prohibition Act by the respondent police on 09.06.2018. But so far, the respondent police has not taken any action on the said complaint. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the investigation on the complaint given by the petitioner is substantially complete and final report will be filed shortly.

4. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side), the respondent police is directed to complete https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11443 of 2019 the investigation in the case in Crime No.6 of 2018 and file a final report within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
