PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to order to conclude the trial in C.C.No.16 of 2014 pending on the file of the learned Principal District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Eraniel, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District within a reasonable time as may be stipulated by this Court. ORDER

This petition has been filed to direct the learned Principal District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Eraniel, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District to conclude the trial of the case pending in C.C.No.16 of 2014.

2. According to the petitioner the matter is pending from the year 2014. So far the trial in this case is yet to be commenced. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would submit that the trial in this case has been commenced and now the matter is posted for examination of witnesses on 06.09.2019.

4. Considering the fact that the trial in this case has already been commenced and now the matter is posted for examination of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11450 of 2019 witnesses, the learned Principal District Munsif cum Judicial Magistrate, Eraniel, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari District is directed to expedite the trial in C.C.No.16 of 2014 and dispose of the same within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
