ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that there is no sand mining/quarrying operations. Thus, no further adjudication is required in this writ petition.

2. However, in the event of any theft/illegal river sand quarrying/mining, the petitioner is at liberty to file a complaint before the jurisdictional police and the revenue authorities who in turn has to initiate prosecution against the offenders.

3. With the above observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
