Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pass an order to disburse the special pension for the petitioners as per G.O.Ms.No.348 dated 28.11.2017. ORDER

The petitioners, who served as Sanitary Workers in the respondent TANGEDCO, has approached this Court that they are eligible for special pension as per G.O.Ms.No.348, Finance (Pay Cell) Department, dated 28.11.2017, however, the same has not been provided to them and though they have submitted representations to the respondents on 19.09.2022 and 12.12.2022, the same have not been considered. Therefore, the petitioners are before this Court.

2. Though this writ petition was entertained by this Court in the year 2023 and the same is pending for the past three years, neither the respondents have taken any decision nor filed any counter affidavit.

3. Since the petitioners claim that they are eligible for special 2/4

pension as per G.O.Ms.No.348, dated 28.11.2017, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners in the light of G.O.Ms.No.348, dated 28.11.2017, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
