ORDER

The petitioner, who is the defacto complainant in C.C.No.96 of 2021 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate No.II, Usilampatti, Madurai District, has filed this petition seeking a direction to the learned Magistrate to complete the trial within a time frame. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that for the occurrence taken place in the year 2020, final report came to be filed only in the year 2021 and there is no progress in the trial. 3.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the respondent submits that the case is posted to 23.07.2025 for the appearance of the accused No.3.

4.This Court has considered the submissions made on either side and perused the available materials.

5.It appears that the case was registered in the year 2020 and final report was taken on file in the year 2021. If the case has not progressed 2/4

without even framing the charges, then it is a fault on the part of the trial Court and there is no purpose in registering the cases and filing the final reports. If the proceedings are delayed in such a manner, then the witnesses will be demoralized. The trial Court is expected to give some importance to these old cases and ensure that the cases are progressed.
