ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to instruct the third respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members to vacate his residential house in Attukulam, Melur, Madurai District to get house hold articles, cash and jewels from the petitioner's home in accordance with law.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is doing his business in Housr and Coimbatore and his native is Madurai. Due to lock-down, the petitioner came back to his native. While that being so, in the murder case of one Mohan Kumar, a case was registered in Crime No.1987 of 2020 where the petitioner's brother was arrested and regarding this, the petitioner who is doing business at Hosur and Coimbatore, was also called for enquiry and the petitioner had appeared several times, even though he has nothing to do with the murder case. Crl.O.P.(MD)No.14261 of 2020 the petitioner, the relatives of the deceased namely, the respondents 4 to 7, threatened him with dire consequences and therefore, the petitioner decided to vacate the house where he is residing. According to him, the respondents 4 to 7 prevented him from vacating the premises. Hence, this petition. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the official respondents, on instructions, would submit that the respondent police will take suitable steps, based on the petitioner's representation dated 25.11.2020. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the apprehension of the petitioner, this Court directs the respondents police to give police protection to the petitioner and his family members to vacate his residential house in Attukulam, Melur, Madurai District to get house hold articles, cash and jewels from the petitioner's home by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 25.11.2020.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
