For Petitioner : Mr.R.Murugappan For R1 & R2 : Mr.B.Thanga Aravindh Government Advocate (Crl.side) O RDER This petition is filed seeking for a direction to the respondent No.2 police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner while fencing the land in S.No.240/2F1 at Settiyapatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichirappalli District. 2.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner, who is the senior citizen, is the owner of the land bearing S.No.240/2F1, measuring an extent of 12 cents, at Settiyapatti Village, Manapparai Taluk, Trichrappalli District and whenever the petitioner is intending to fence the land from encroachment, the respondents Nos.3 and 4, who are professional land grabbers, have been trying the petitioner away, not permitting him to fence the land and threatening him with dire consequences. Accordingly, the petitioner has filed a complaint before the police on 08.06.2023 seeking for police protection and the same has not been provided.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on the other hand submits that the respondent Nos.3 and 4 are also claiming the land, which the petitioner has claimed and the representation given by the petitioner is enquired and closed. 4.Considering the same, in case if the respondent Nos.3 and 4 either commit or about to commit an offence and if the petitioner makes a complaint to the police, the police shall take appropriate action against the respondent Nos.3 and 4.
