The petitioner, who is a lessee for breeding and fishing in Kullapuram Periya Kanmoi vide lease agreement dated 02.09.2020 for period of three years has filed this writ petition for extension of lease period on the ground that due to natural calamities, the petitioner could not harvest the fishes as expected by him.

2.The learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents submits that as per the lease agreement, the lease period expired on 30.06.2023 itself and there is no provision to extend the lease period further.
3.In the absence of any provision enabling the authority to extend the lease period, this Court is not inclined to pass any order directing the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. 06.07.2023 NCC : Yes / No.
