O R D E R

[Made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to produce the body or person of the petitioner's daughter, namely, Muthumeena, aged about 21 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Muthumeena, aged about 21 years, went missing from 01.08.2022 and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her. Hence, the present habeas corpus petition with the above prayer.

3. On instructions, learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on a complaint given by the petitioner, a case in Sivakasi Town Police Station Crime No.265 of 2022 has been registered on 01.08.2022 for 'woman-missing' and during the course of investigation, the petitioner also gave a statement that since her daughter has been secured, she (petitioner) is withdrawing the complaint. Accordingly, the police have closed the FIR in Sivakasi Town Police Station Crime No.265 of 2022.

4. A copy of the closure report along with the statement given by the petitioner which was recorded by the police and photograph of the detenue are furnished to the learned counsel for the petitioner across the Bar.
