PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 528 of BNSS Act, to direct the 1st Additional District Judge, PCR Court, Thanjavur, to accept the surrender of the petitioner/3rd accused, and to consider their bail application and grant bail on the same date of surrender itself in Cr.No.246 of 2026 dated 04.06.2026 on the file of the respondent No.2 police. ORDER
The present petition has been filed by the third accused in crime No.246 of 2026, on the file of the second respondent police seeking a direction as against the trial Court to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of surrender.
2. Considering the averments in the petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st Additional District Judge, PCR Court, Thanjavur, to consider the bail application of the petitioner on the same day of surrender in crime No.246 of 2026, after giving due opportunity to the defacto complainant.
3. The petitioner shall surrender before the concerned Court on or before 23.06.2026.
4. With the above said observations, this Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
