O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to expedite the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.2 of 2023 dated 06.03.2023 pending on the file of the respondent police.

2. According to the petitioner, he is the son of the defacto complainant and based on the complaint given by the mother of the petitioner, a case in Crime No.2 of 2023 for the offences under Sections 420, 465, 468, 417 and 506(i) and Section 34 of IPC was registered and thereafter, no proper investigation was conducted and sill the case is under investigation. Therefore, he filed this petition to direct the respondent police to file the charge sheet after completing the investigation.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that initially, the case was registered by the Economic Offences Wing (EOW), Virudhunagar and thereafter, the Page No. 2 of 4

case has been transferred to the District Crime Branch, Virudhunagar. Therefore, the case is under investigation. However, they will complete the investigation and file the final report within two months.

4. Considering the prayer of the petitioner and recording the submission of the learned Government Advocate, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the investigation and file the final report within a period of two months from the date of this order.

5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of. No costs.
