Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to transfer the patta in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property in Survey No.34/1B1 to an extent of 1 acre 54 cents situated at A.Vellodu Village, Nagalnayakkanpatti, Dindigul Sub-Registrar office limit, Dindigul District by considering her application for sub-division of patta transfer submitted with the respondent, dated 18.10.2016, within the period stipulated by this court.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.According to the petitioner, he has filed an application through on-line to the respondent for transferring the patta, which was acknowledged by the respondent on 18.10.2016. So far no order has been passed by the respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4.Since the petitioner's application is pending with the respondent from 18.10.2016, the respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's application, dated 18.10.2016, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to the rival claimants, if any, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
