Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to rectify the defects in UDR and other revenue records in respect of Survey Nos.44/2A and 44/4 situated at Kunnathur I Bit Village, Madurai East Taluk, Madurai District and to issue patta to the petitioner and conduct enquiry based on the petitioner's representation, dated 12.05.2015.

ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.Alleging that there is a mistake crept while issuing the UDR Patta in respect of the petitioner's land, the petitioner filed an application before the first respondent/District Revenue Officer, Madurai on 12.05.2015. Thereafter, the first respondent also taken the matter on record on 29.06.2015 and also issued notice to the petitioner to appear for enquiry on 31.07.2015. On that day, the first respondent adjourned the matter without any reason and thereafter, no enquiry was conducted. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Since the first respondent already initiated enquiry proceedings, the first respondent is directed to complete the enquiry, after issuing notice to the petitioner as well as to the rival claimants, if any and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
