ORDER : The Court made the following order :- Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent.

2.The petitioner apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 379 of I.P.C. r/w. Section 21(4) of Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act, 1957, in Crime No.987 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

3.The case of the prosecution is that when the Village Administrative Officer was on his surveillance, he found that A3 was doing illegal transportation of river sand along with other accused persons in two tractor bearing registration Nos.TN-76-Y-7060 and TN-95-B-7648. CRL OP(MD). No.14360 of 2020 4.The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) points out that there are as many as five cases are pending against the petitioner similar in nature.

5.Taking note of the bad antecedents of the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant relief to the petitioner. The criminal original petition stands dismissed.
