Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent No.1 to direct the respondent Nos.2 to 4 to provide monthly pension to the petitioners by considering their respective representations as stated in the schedule, within the period stipulated by this Court. ORDER

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate for the respondents. 2.By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.According to the petitioners, all the petitioners filed applications before the respondents 2 to 4 seeking old age pension and all the petitioners are eligible to get old age pension as per the Scheme. So far the respondents 2 to 4 did not consider the petitioners' application and no order has been passed. Since no order has been passed by the respondents 2 to 4, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition.

4.Taking into consideration the fact that the petitioners are senior citizens and also considering the fact that they only sought for old age pension under the Scheme, the respondents 2 to 4 are directed to consider the petitioners respective application and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
