ORDER

The petitioner with an allegation that the respondent police is harassing him under the guise of an enquiry has approached this Court. 2.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the official respondents submits that based on the complaint lodged by the fourth respondent, they have initiated petition enquiry and called the petitioner for enquiry, however, he did not appear. Therefore, they could not complete the enquiry.

3.The nature of the complaint is that the petitioner has received some jewels from the fourth respondent and failed to return the same. The fourth respondent was bed-ridden and therefore, he has made a request to the petitioner to withdraw some amount. The petitioner, taking advantage of the same, has withdrawn more amount than the amount, which has been requested by the fourth respondent. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the petitioner to appear before the respondent Police and co2/4

operate for the enquiry. The respondent Police shall conduct the enquiry and complete the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. During enquiry, the respondent Police shall not harass the petitioner. In the event, if any cognizable offence is made out, the respondent Police is at liberty to register a case or otherwise, close the complaint. Accordingly, this criminal original petition is disposed of.
