ORDER

The representation seeking permission to conduct Kodai Vizha festival between 15.08.2019 and 17.08.2019 was rejected by the third respondent vide his order dated 02.08.2019, on the ground https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.17731 of 2019 that since there is rivalry between two groups of Nadar Community, there is a possibility of law and order problem. Therefore, both the groups were called for Peace Meeting, but no consensus was arrived at. In the light of difference of opinion and deterioration of law and order and peace, the permission to conduct the festival was declined. In the impugned order, the Revenue Divisional Officer has specifically advised the parties to arrive at a consensus and seek for permission. 2.This Court finds that the impugned order has been passed in an appropriate manner considering the maintenance of law and order. Therefore, this Writ Petition is dismissed as devoid of merits. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
