ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to settle the petitioner's surrender leave salary of Rs.51,740/- for 25 days together with interest at the rate of 6% per annum payable from the date of his retirement to till the date of actual payment.

2. Heard Mr.A.Rahul, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Ramaiah, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2/5

4. The petitioner had given a representation to the respondents on 27.12.2023 seeking to settle the surrender leave salary of Rs.51,740/- for 25 days together with 6% interest per annum. Since the said representation was not considered by the respondents so far, the present writ petition has been filed.

5.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner would be considered by the respondents within a time frame fixed by this Court.

6. In view of the above, the Writ Petition stands disposed of and the respondent Corporation is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 27.12.2023 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
