2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners. Mr.K.P.Krishnadoss, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.
3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents submitted that the issue raised in this writ petition is covered by an unreported decision of this Court in Venkattamma and others Vs.The Government of Tamil Nadu made in W.P.No.22255 of 2012, dated 23.08.2012. 4.Following the same, the respondents are directed to consider the case of the petitioners for the promotion to the post of Cook, if the petitioners are complied with the norms prescribed in G.O.Ms.No.125, Social Welfare Department and Mid-day Meals Scheme, dated 04.09.2008 and G.O.Ms.No.163, Social Welfare Department and Mid-day Meals Scheme, dated 18.08.2010.
The petitioners are directed to submit their applications before the authorities concerned within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of such applications, the authorities concerned shall pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks thereafter. 5.The writ petitions are accordingly disposed of.
