ORDER

This petition is filed to direct the first respondent to direct to third respondent to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members and for the enjoyment of his properties, by considering the petitioner's complaint dated 25.07.2022 within the period stipulated by this Court.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that when the petitioner was doing work in his land, the respondents 4 and 5 and his men were prevented the petitioner from doing his work and also threatened him with dire consequences and abused him by using filthy language. Therefore, he gave a complaint on 25.07.2022 to take action against the respondents 4 and 5 and also to provide police protection, but 2/5

the respondent police has not taken any action. Hence, the petitioner filed the present petition.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that on receipt of complaint, CSR No.385 of 2022 was issued and enquiry is pending.

4.In view of the same, the third respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 25.07.2022 in CSR No.385 of 2022 and to provide police protection under the Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
