ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for R1 & R2.

2. Considering the nature of relief to be granted, issuance of notice to R3 & R4 is dispensed with.

3. The petitioner is aggrieved by the issuance of patta in the name of the fourth respondent. According to him, mistake took place during UDR. If that be so, the competent authority will be the District Revenue Officer, Dindigul. He has not been shown as a party. He is therefore suo motu impleaded as fifth respondent in the writ petition.

4. The petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh petition before the District Revenue Officer, Dindigul. As and when it is received, the District Revenue Officer, Dindigul shall dispose it of on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks thereafter. Interested parties shall be put on notice. I make it clear that I have not gone into the merits of the matter. It is open to the fifth respondent to pass order one way or other. All the contentions 2/4

of the petitioner are left open.
