ORDER
The prayer in the writ petition is for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 3rd respondent to refix the seniority of the petitioner as on 7.10.2010 in the Manager Level and promote the petitioner to the post of Assistant General Manager, on the basis of the representation dated 15.6.2016 within a time limit to be fixed by this Court.
2.Heard both sides. Mr.A.K.Baskarapandian, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner has sought for such a larger relief, the petitioner would be satisfied, if this Court gives a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 15.06.2016 and to pass orders, within a time frame.
4.Considering the said submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the 3rd respondent to consider and decide the representation of the petitioner dated 15.06.2016, regarding fixation of seniority and other pay benefits, on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
