ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by N. KIRUBAKARAN, J.] The petitioner has come before this Court, seeking for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to appoint the Doctors of Cardiology, Neurology and Orthopedic and also install the CT & MRI Scan Centre at the District Head Quarters Hospital, Thanjavur District at Kumbakonam, based on his representation dated 16.11.2020.
2. The grievance of the petitioner is that though the Thanjavur Head Quarters Hospital is located at Kumbakonam, the Specialists, like, Cardiology, Neurology and Orthopedic and the CT and MRI Scan Centre are not available in the said hospital. Therefore, he gave a representation on 16.11.2020, in this regard. Since it has not been disposed of, he has come before this Court.
3. Heard Mr.Mohammed Imran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.J.Padmavathi Devi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
4. After starting Medical College at Thanjavur, which is the Head Quarters of Thanjavur District, the Head Quarters Hospital has been shifted to Kumbakonam. The Head Quarters Hospital is bound to have all amenities and infrastructure. Therefore, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider and pass orders, on the representation of the petitioner dated 16.11.2020 and appoint experts at the earliest when it is possible.
5. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
