This petition has been filed, seeking to direct the 1st respondent to take necessary departmental action against the 3rd respondent based on the report of the 2nd respondent.

When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2 has produced a copy of the communication dated 15.12.2016, received from the Inspector of Police (L&O), B-3, Theppakulam Police Station, Madurai, wherein it has been stated that departmental action has already been initiated against R3.
3. In view of the above submission, nothing survives for further adjudication in this petition and the same is closed accordingly. It is open to the official respondents to proceed with the enquiry and bring the issue to a logical end at the earliest point of time. No costs.
