O R D E R
The petitioner, with a grievance that his son has been murdered on 31.03.2025, has lodged a complaint before the Inspector of Police, Keerathurai Police Station and the same was registered in Crime No.219 of 2025. The petitioner claims that the respondent police has not conducted the investigation in a proper manner, has submitted an application for transfer of investigation and also filed a writ petition in WP(MD) No.11980 of 2025 and the same was disposed of by this Court, by an order, dated 28.04.2025, as under:- ''4.Considering the prayer sought for in this petition and also the receipt of the representation was admitted by the respondents, recording the above said submissions, this Court directs the fourth respondent to take appropriate action based on the petitioner's representation in accordance with law and as per the guidelines issued by the Chief Secretary to Government based on the guidelines issued by the National Human Rights Commission, Delhi through letter, dated 02.12.2003 and dispose of the same within two weeks from the date of the order.''

Now, this contempt petition is filed that the above order of this Court, dated 28.04.2025 has not been complied with. 3.When this contempt petition is taken up for admission, Mr.E.Antony Sahaya Prabahar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who takes notice for the respondent based on a written instruction provided by the Commissioner of Police, Madurai addressed to the Director General of Police, dated 26.06.2025 submits that the representation of this petitioner was considered and a request has been made to the Director General of Police to transfer the investigation in Crime No.219 of 2025, from the file of the Keeraithurai Police Station to CBCID.
4.This Court considered the rival submissions made and also perused the materials placed on record.
5.The petitioner claims that even after the earlier order of this Court, dated 28.04.2025, the respondent police has not 3/5
transferred the investigation in Crime No.219 of 2025 from the file of Keeraithurai Police Station to CBCID. However, on the side of the respondents, it is claimed that the proceedings, dated 26.06.2025 has already been communicated to the Director General of Police for transferring the investigation in Crime No.219 of 2025 to CBCID.
6.In view of the above and considering the scope of this contempt petition, this contempt petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedy in the manner known to law. 09.07.2025 Index:Yes/No Internet:Yes/No vrn To The Commissioner of Police, Madurai City, Madurai - 625 002.
