2. The case of the writ petitioner is that the passport was impounded based on his wife's complaint.
3. The petitioner is directed to give his explanation. The first respondent shall enquire into the same and take a decision on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks after the receipt of the explanation of the writ petitioner.
4. This writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
