Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to reconvey the land bearing Survey No.665/3 to an extent of 36 cents situated at Thenkalam Village, Tirunelveli Taluk, Tirunelveli District already acquired, in favour of the petitioner, based on her representation made to the respondent dated 17.10.2016.

The petitioner seeks for reconveyance of the land bearing S.No.665/3 measuring an extent of 36 cents situated at Thenkalam Village, Tirunelveli Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by considering her representation dated 17.10.2016.

2. Whether such a request is sustainable in law and also on facts, is for the respondent to consider and decide on its own merits and therefore, this Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner. However, this writ petition is disposed of only with a direction to the respondent to consider the said representation dated 17.10.2016 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
