2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner is more in the private interest of the

Petitioner Association seeking a Mandamus directing the second respondent to post all the Laboratory Technical Staffs from Madurai Medical College and Government Rajaji Hospital for turn duty at Central Laboratory, Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai. The petitioner seems to suggest that by doing so, round the clock effective function of the Central Laboratory, Madurai, would be beneficial to the patients. The petitioner seems to have addressed a representation in this regard to the second respondent, whereas the same ought to have been addressed to the first respondent, the Director, Directorate of Medical Education.

4. As stated supra, the first respondent is the authority to consider the representation, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to make a representation to the first respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the first respondent is directed to consider the said representation and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks thereafter.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
