ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM,J) This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to provide water facility to the streets namely Sinthamani Street, Vetriveladi Vinayagarkovil Street, Apparsamy Kovil Street and Ettuthogai Street by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.It is averred in the petition that the petitioner is a resident of Vannarapettai, Tirunelveli District. Further it is

averred in the petition that various representations have been given to provide water facilities to the streets mentioned in the petition. But the respondents have not evidenced any interest in providing the same. Under the said circumstances, the present petition has been filed for getting the relief sought therein. 3.Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents.

4.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has contended that various representations have been given to various authorities to provide water facilities to the streets mentioned in the petition, but all the attempts made by the petitioner and others have not given any fruitful effect. Under the said circumstances, the present petition has been filed for getting the relief sought therein.

5.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has represented that on the basis of the representation, some of the streets are being provided water facilities.

6.Considering the submissions made on either side, this Court is of the view to pass the following order: 7.In fine, this writ petition is allowed without cost. The respondents are directed to provide water facilities to the streets mentioned in the petition within a period of one month.
