O R D E R

The writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent herein to accord permission to conduct the Kabadi Tournament from 06.00 p.m. on 17.12.2016 till 8 a.m., on 18.12.2016 at Melambur Village Playground, Karathupillayar Village, Tirunelveli District on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 24.11.2016.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3. When this matter was taken up for hearing on 14.12.2016, this Court directed the learned Government Advocate to file objection, if any, by the respondent police, by today. In spite of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the direction given by this Court, even today, the respondent police have not filed any objection regarding the status of the petitioner. Hence, this Court is of the view that the respondent police have no objection for the relief sought for by the petitioner herein.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the petitioner is directed to approach the first respondent, the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ambasamuthiram Circle, Ambasamuthiram, Tirunelveli District, with his representation, dated 24.11.2016, today itself and on such receipt, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation given by the petitioner, dated 24.11.2016 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, on tomorrow (16.12.2016) itself.

6. With the above direction this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
