ORDER
The petitioner has filed this writ petition for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to regularize her services in the post of Sweeper with all consequential service monetary and retirement benefits along with arrears of pay from the date of regularization.
2.The petitioner was appointed as part time sweeper by the 3rd respondent on 16.08.1988. Her name was sponsored by the Employment Exchange, Tirunelveli. Initially, she was paid consolidated pay of Rs.60/- per month and that she has worked for more than 27 years and allowed to retire on 30.06.2015 on attaining the age of superannuation. The request of the petitioner for regularisation even though has been forwarded to https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the Government by proposal dated 21.08.2008, no orders have been passed regularising the services of the petitioner. If her service is regularised, she is entitled to retiral benefits, apart from the monetary benefits applicable to the regular employee till the date of superannuation.
3.The petitioner also produced a communication dated 15.12.2011 of the 3rd respondent marked to her that proposal has already been forwarded to the Government and orders are awaited. 4.The facts mentioned supra are not disputed by the respondents. However, the learned Government Advocate would submit that eight weeks time may be granted to pass orders on the proposal seeking regularisation of the petitioner. 5.Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate, the 1st respondent is directed to pass orders on the proposal seeking regularisation of the petitioner within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
