ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to step up the petitioner's pay on par with his junior P.Bennet Jose from 14.07.2008 with other attendant service and monetary benefits to the petitioner. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.
3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner was appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher and received increments for B.Sc and B.Ed Degree and he was promoted as B.T Assistant. Though one of his juniors salary was increased as per the pay commission, the petitioner's claim in respect of his salary has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner sent a representation to the respondents on 05.02.2016. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

4.The learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered on merits.
5.In such view of the matter, this Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, directs the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 14.07.2008 with regard to pay on par with his junior and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, after affording due opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
