ORDER

The petitioners, who are A1 to A5 in Cr.No.87 of 2023 on the file of the first respondent Police, have filed this petition to quash the said proceedings.

2.The learned Government Advocate(Crl.side) appearing for the first respondent, on instructions, submits that the investigation in Cr. No.87 of 2023 has already been completed and charge sheet has also been filed through E.Filing before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aranghangi.

3.Recording the above submission, this criminal original petition is closed with liberty to the petitioners to challenge the charge sheet in the manner known to law. Mere filing of final report through E-filing is not enough. It is the duty of the first respondent Police to ensure that the 2/4

final report is taken on file, within a period of 10 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The learned Judicial Magistrate, Aranthangi is expected to take up the final report on file, without any delay, if it is otherwise in order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
