ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking direction to the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and her family member's life and limb from the respondents 3 to 16 by considering her representation dated 18.09.2021.

2.On 28.09.2021, after hearing the learned counsel a direction was issued to conduct the enquiry, immediately by summoning the petitioner and her husband and other persons at whose hands they experienced life threat. For the purpose of intimating the outcome of the enquiry, the matter was listed on 21.10.2021. On that date it was informed the Court that even the order copy of the above said order has been despatched, it was not complied. For the purpose of reporting compliance the matter has been listed today. 3.Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that based upon the above said order, summon has been issued and enquiry has been undertaken and during the course of enquiry, the private respondents undertaken to the effect that they will not trouble the petitioner. However, enquiry is pending.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that when the petitioner appeared before the Enquiry Officer in the presence of the Enquiry Officer, they were assaulted by the private respondents. According to the petitioner still the life threat exists.

5.Official from the second respondent office present. He also submitted that based upon the above said enquiry, police protection has been arranged at the residence of the petitioner. Since the police protection has been arranged at the residence of the petitioner, now the matter has become infructuous. If any trouble arises in future, the petitioner can workout her remedy through appropriate proceedings.

6.The second respondent is directed to visit the house of the petitioner. Thereafter, he may order for police picketing if any necessity arises. He shall periodically review the situation. 7.With the above directions this criminal original petition is disposed of.
