O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file the final report in Crime No. 188 of 2024.

2.The learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's vehicle was not involved in the commission of offence as alleged by the respondent police. However, the respondent police has registered the case as against the petitioner. The petitioner claims that he is also having the CCTV footage, which has been collected from the place of occurrence. It would disclose that the petitioner's vehicle was not involved in the commission of offence. He further submits that the petitioner is working as a Driver in TNSTC.

3.The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that the case itself was registered only on 10.06.2024, for the offences under Sections 379 and 304(A) IPC and the investigation is pending.

4.The petitioner has filed this petition seeking to file the final report in Crime No.188 of 2024. However, the grievance of the petitioner is that he is innocent and he has not involved in the offence. He also claims that he is having the CCTV footage collected from the place of occurrence and the same would disclose that the petitioner's vehicle was not involved in the commission of offence.

5.Therefore, the petitioner shall produce the CCTV footage to the respondent police and the respondent police shall conduct the investigation in a proper manner, find out whether the petitioner's vehicle is involved in the commission of offence and take a call.
