PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 26.07.2022 seeking to grant police protection to the petitioner's life and limp and her properties in Survey Nos.782, 783, 784, 785/1, 785/2 situated in Tirunelveli Town, Tirunelveli District as per Rule 21 of Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009.

This writ petitioner filed this Writ Petition seeking direction to the 1st respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation, dated 26.07.2022 and to grant police protection to the petitioner's life and limp and her properties in Survey Nos.782, 783, 784, 785/1, 785/2 which are situated in Tirunelveli Town, Tirunelveli District as per Rule 21 of Tamil Nadu Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009.

2.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing the learned Government Advocate (criminal side) appearing for the respondent Nos.1 & 2 submitted that earlier private respondent has preferred a complaint against the petitioner and also this Court has issued direction by its order, dated 20.07.2022 in Crl.O.P.(MD)No.12728 of 2022 to consider the complaint. The private respondent has not appeared for enquiry. and now, the complaint is pending. The submission is recorded. 2/4

3.Recording the said aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate (crl. side), the 2nd respondent/Inspector of Police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 26.07.2022 along with complaint given by the 3rd respondent and to take appropriate action on merits and in accordance with law upon both the complaints, within a period of Three weeks from the receipt of copy of the order.

4.With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No cost.
