O R D E R

The petitioner with a grievance that the respondent police has taken her passport and other articles from her house, under the guise of an enquiry, has filed this writ petition, seeking a direction to the respondent police to return the same.

2.Today(27.06.2025), when this writ petition is taken up for admission, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner through video conference submits that the documents and other articles seized by the respondent police have been returned to the petitioner. 3.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents submits that this petitioner's husband is an accused in Crime No.274 of 2024, on the file of the respondent police, for the offence under Sections 191(2), 296(b), 115(2), 303(2), 351(2) of BNS and Section 3 of the Tamil Nadu Public Property (Prevention of Damage and Loss) Act, 1992. In the course of investigation, they have verified with the petitioner's bank passbook and they have not seized 2/5

any materials from the petitioner and it is only for verification, in connection with a case in Crime No.274 of 2024. 4.Though the petitioner has filed this writ petition that the respondent police has seized her passbook and other articles, it is now reported by the petitioner's counsel that the same has been returned by the respondent police.
