Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct 2nd and 3rd respondents herein to take appropriate steps with regard to temple car festival of Sri Pathrakaliamman Temple, Unniyur, Trichy District and further they ensure said temple car should not ply on 11.08.2022, into pettioner's agricultural field situated at Trichy District, Thottiyam Taluk, Unniyur Village, Punjai Survey No.53/3A, measuring 2.22 acre, and at Punjai Sruvey No.53/3A measuring 1.91 acre, in the light of his representation dated 28.07.2022 with a stipulated period as may be fixed by this Court. For Petitioner : Mr.R.Sundar For Respondents : Mr.N.Ramesh Arumugam, Government Advocate for R1 to R6.

ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition pertains to conduct of the petition mentioned car festival.

2.The case of the writ petitioner is that on his patta land, the temple car should not be allowed to enter. According to him, he had already raised crops and that he would suffer financial loss, if the temple car is taken through his patta land. In this regard, a peace committee meeting is said to have been convened and a decision was also taken. The petitioner wants enforcement of the said decision. I have held in a quite few cases that any decision taken in 2/4

peace committee meeting lacks statutory backing or force. Therefore, the question of issuing any direction in this writ petition does not arise at all. 3.Leaving open the rights of the writ petitioner, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
