O R D E R

The prayer sought for in this Writ Petition is for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to take appropriate action for preventing the first Honour being given to any other person except ambalam's of each Karai including the petitioner residing in the Therkutheru during Aadi Car Festival, Alagarkovil scheduled on 15th August 2019 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2019.

2. Heard Mr.G.Chandrasekar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.VR.Shanumuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

3. In order to get some respect for the Alagar Kovil temple festival, (i.e.) the respondent Temple, the petitioner has given a representation to the respondent on 05.07.2019. Therefore, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that if the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

W.P.(MD) No.17803 of 2019 said representation is decided on merits before the commencement of the festival which is slated to be conducted on 15.08.2019, then the petitioner would be satisfied.

4. Heard Mr. VR.Shanumuganathan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondent who would submit that, the said representation would be decided forthwith, anyhow before 15.08.2019.

5. In that view of the matter, this Court is inclined to dispose of this writ petition, with the consent of both sides at the admission stage itself, with the following direction: " that the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.07.2019 and pass orders thereon on merits and in accordance with law before 15.08.2019. "

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.(MD) No.14267 of 2019 is closed.
