ORDER
The petitioner is a victim in Crime No.1 of 2024. The accused in Crime No.1 of 2024 is a habitual offender and he has committed fraud to an extent of Rs.3,56,00,000/-. Now, the accused is attempting to go abroad with an intention to protract the case. Therefore, the petitioner has made a request to the respondent Police to issue Look Out Circular as against the accused. But, the same has not been considered. 2/6
Therefore, the petitioner is before this Court.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that apart from this case, the accused is also involved in two other cases of similar in nature, in Crime Nos.42 and 43 of 2021 on the file of the CCB, Coimbatore.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submits that the respondent Police has duly registered the complaint on 10.01.2024. The accused is now absconding and they are in search of the accused. He further submits that the accused has filed an anticipatory bail petition, which was also dismissed. Despite the same, they are not in a position to find out the accused.
4. It appears that the respondent Police could not secure the accused from 10.01.2024. Apart from this case, the accused is also involved in Crime Nos.42 and 43 of 2021 on the file of the CCB, 3/6
Coimbatore, which are similar in nature.
5. The petitioner apprehends that the accused is attempting to go abroad and flee from the justice.
6. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation and to take action on his representation within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to furnish the details of the passport of the accused to the first respondent.
